This is the revolution and you are the Mockingjay.

MTV:  ”The Best Hero award acknowledges a cinema’s most kickass character that embodies prowess, power and vigor.”

Not a single woman is on the list for best hero, and I find that ridiculous and wrong. If no one else, Katniss Everdeen should be added to represent the population of powerful women that our generation has become. Don’t let a strong hero like Katniss be beat out by Bilbo Baggins and a Channing Tatum character most people didn’t see. Please sign the petition. (via cinnasownmockingjay)

Katniss Everdeen IS a hero and she was one of the most kickass characters in last year’s cinemas. She embodied prowess, power and vigor and she is only seventeen years old. Suzanne’s character deserved to at least be on the list.

whatever it takes to break you

I’m so sorry that you’re so misunderstood and that people label you as cold and a girl with an attitude like it’s a bad thing, when you have every right to lock your feelings away and to be cold after everything you experienced. I’m so sorry people blame you for being “weak” in Mockingjay because you finally break, but for me that was when you were at your strongest. You finally let yourself feel pain, emptiness, and heartache, while at the same time, still fighting for a nation and people that needed you to be their leader. You still fought a war when you lost everything.

I drift off only to be roused by nightmares that have increased in number and intensity. Peeta, who spends much of the night roaming the train, hears me screaming as I struggle to break out of the haze of drugs that merely prolong the horrible dreams. He manages to wake me and calm me down. Then he climbs into bed to hold me until I fall back to sleep. After that, I refuse the pills. But every night I let him into my bed. We manage the darkness as we did in the arena, wrapped in each other’s arms, guarding against dangers that can descend at any moment. Nothing else happens, but our arrangement quickly becomes a subject of gossip on the train.
